BASCON was conceived by Calvin Bassa and his partners Ansawise Investment Holdings (AIH) as a result of various fact finding missions, networking events, and business engagements. BASCON’s key stakeholders, together with Ansawise, determined to pursue opportunities in the infrastructure and construction industries in Sub Saharan Africa and to help achieve the realization of Africa’s potential. This potential is rooted in the realization that the existence of infrastructure allows countries and nations to thrive, and that construction, therefore, forms part of the backbone of a growing economy and national progress.
Having partnered with entities providing complementary skill sets, key individuals within BASCON and Ansawise have established BASCON as an African player in the continent’s construction and infrastructure industries. BASCON is exploring opportunities in South and Sub-Saharan Africa in civil and mechanical engineering, infrastructure and commercial construction. To capitalize on these opportunities, BASCON will establish local entities to drive the implementation and operation of these projects. Through the involvement of local partners BASCON harnesses local and regional representation, insight and knowledge. This partnership approach is central to BASCON’s strategy in all markets.
